When the EURO 2016 draw was made, and Wales were put in the same group as England, many on here - including myself - thought we had a good chance against them in France.
Has Wales' 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland and England's 3-2 win in Germany changed your mind? Neither Wales or England were at full strength.
Or do you think we shouldn't pay much attention to friendlies?
Do you think we will beat England in June - assuming both teams are at full strength?

Ned, When England went to 2 nil down last night, I was in a pub and there were about 30 English fans in there and they were virtually all were saying,Wales will beat us. But by the end their young guns showed their class and you have to admit to be 2 nil down to the World Champions Germany,to then beat them 3-2 in Germany is a hell of a win.
England will be favourites to beat us,but you never know,on the day Wales could pull of a shock draw or win.

Nope friendlies mean nothing, bale and Rambo being fit are more of a worry than England

If england lose the game there will be a stewards enquiry for months after
Think england will win the game though.

The major difference between us is the strength in depth. If Rooney is not firing in France they Can look at vardy or Kanu or injection of pace and quality with Delli etc etc we have Bale and Ramsey or Church and Vokes as back up etc. That's where problem lies. It will have to be down to a team spirited performance from us I feel. Which let's be honest if you can't get fired up for a game against England in a major tournament then you have no chance

Wales must be at their best for every game not just england. I believe that our team spirit will make us rise to the occasion, I can see no real reason why we can't win our games. Let's not forget that other teams must worry about Wales as well - the more we are underestimated the better

I don't pay any attention to friendlies to be honest, I don't think we would beat England before the recent games.

if Hodgson leaves rooney and the old guard out then England have a great chance of getting to semis, and we won't stand a chance against them.
But you know england, they have a love in with old school players so it'll be their failure!
I watched England against Germany, and even though they went 2 down, they were probably the best entertaining and attack minded national side I have seen them have since Shearer retired.
I reckon they are on course to do some damage at the next world cup!

I agree,If there was anything on the game I don't think the Germans would have let it slip like that. Most players go into International friendlies theses days with their club managers words ringing in their ears."Don't get effin injured"
A classic example of this is the Sam Vokes chance early on.Gets the right side of the defender but just leans into it.In a proper match he throws himself at it and probably scores. Its not often you see a defender winning that type of contest.

No its just a friendly and England were lucky Germany should've had 3 goals.

I think we've got a very good chance of beating England Ned

In terms of these two friendlies, the only real thing that is of interest is how some of the Wales players who aren't regulars (the youngsters and fringe players) adapt to international football. The results and performances don't really matter. The team that played on Thursday, for example, will be totally different when it comes to that first game against Slovakia in June.

Our only hope is if they keep Rooney up front, those young guns will blow us away
