" Should we gamble half a £million ? "

Who thinks half a £million would be a good gamble, with eight games to go and the loan transfer window about to close for this season.

Should we try to get a goal scorer from some where , Premier league or abroad?

If Cardiff City paid him £50k a game with a £10 grand a goal bonus , if he got us 10 goals it would probably get us in the play offs and cost us only half a million.

If City built in his contract additional amounts for playing in the play offs and winning them, I'm sure we could get the right player, from a team that has nothing to play for.

Thoughts? ?

Its not a big gamble
and could even pay for its self by added gate receipts

Worth the gamble if you can get the right player, not quite as Easy as you make it sound. Look at the other clubs, Derby spent a fortune but just 5 points ahead of us who barely has one striker. :bluescarf:

Isn't the loan window closed and aren't we under an embargo limiting wages to 10k a week?

Always ways around the wages

Other roles could be paid for
One example marketing rights
Rent allowances
Family member put in a paid position etc
Good accountant get round any rules

I know the window is shut but even if it was open I'm not sure CCFC could offer a player such a deal without getting into a lot of trouble. I'm sure that clubs cannot offer incentives outside already agreed terms of their contract. Swindon were relegated 2 leagues about 20 years ago for paying unsolicited bonus payments and if you remember Vincent Tan made a dressing room offer of extra millions if CCFC players avoided relegation from the PL, only to be advised he couldn't do it.
