Inconsistency is a valid point and the main concern but what no one seems to take into account is that every other team around us are suffering from exactly the same thing, so to answer the OP's question -

With no out an out striker no i dont think we will, pilkington a makeshift striker upfront who is not good enough to get us in the playoffs imo, rest of our squad is good enough but we miss a cutting edge and goals upfront and pilks aint got the cutting edge and goals

I hope I'm wrong but I think we might just fall short. Would love if it went down to the last game of the season though and we beat Sheff Wed to the last playoff spot.

He's done a fantastic job and I have faith, but my head tells me this is what will ultimately cost us and we will fall just short. I am however optimistic for the future with only Marshall seemingly departing over the summer. Pilks has still done a better job and improved the way we play more than Mason and KJ. Glad they both went.
