Here's how it has panned out, season by season:
2014-15: Won 4, drew 2, lost 2 under Slade's management.
2013-14: Cardiff were in the Premier League (for the record, their last eight games saw them win 1, draw 2 and lose 5, including 3-6 to Liverpool)
2012-13: Won 2, drew 6, lost 0 to clinch Championship title under Mackay.
2011-12: Won 4, drew 4, lost 0 to finish in play-offs
2010-11: Won 5, drew 2, lost 1, including a 4-1 thumping of Derby and that epic 2-2 home draw with Adel Taarabt's QPR. Reached play-offs.
2009-10: Won 5, drew 2, lost 1 again to once more reach the play-offs where Cardiff beat Leicester but lost to Blackpool.
2008-09: Won 3, drew 2, lost 3. The worst final run-in of recent times, including a 6-0 thrashing at Preston and a 1-0 loss at Sheffield Wednesday. Still not too bad, though.
2007-08: Won 3, drew 3, lost 2. Again a decent enough run, while the main focus was on the FA Cup Final.
Every season is different, of course, but Cardiff can definitely take encouragement from the fact they have finished recent campaigns stronger than most.

Cardiff have away games at Burnley, Fulham, Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday, and other home fixtures with QPR, Bolton and Birmingham.

It looks a difficult running but it's the championship and everyone beats everyone, however our results against the top teams must be decent because we seem to struggle in games we should be winning.
Let's just enjoy the ride because personally I thought the season would be finished for us by now

I'd we manage to get into the play offs we will be in pretty decent form going in.
Gut feel is we will miss out by a few points. Derby boosted by a management change and Wednesday scoring a few.
Just not quite enough fire power for us to make an impact at this stage of the season.
Happy to be wrong though.
