" In praise of Lex Immers "

My Man of the match today.

I think Immers has been consistently excellent since he joined us.

Good first touch.
Looks to play the ball to feet rather than just kicking anywhere.
Chases and harries all game.
Rarely gives the ball away.
Neat and tidy in what he does.
Has the great knack of being in the right place at the right time.
Very good finisher.

In my opinion the club should be doing everything in their power to make sure they sign him permanently for next season as soon as they are in a position to do so.

For a short while after his poor debut i thought he may be another Slade signing we don't see much of but with injuries and sales he pushed himself back in and now looks a good player.

Quality signing and I believe Immers would like to be here on a perm. I enjoy Rob Phillips but the guest pundits are often dead air. I did listen to BBC Berkshire on TuneInn for their pre-match opinion and it was truly cringeworthy.

I know it was laughable . In fact the suggestion was to take Immers off and put Lawrence and Pilkington together, that famous strike partnership which couldn't muster a goal against the giants MK Dons and Rotherham
