Not having a recognised out an out striker will cost us a play off spot.
People will shoot me down sayin pilkington works hard and makes good runs but unless he has that nack of being a composed finisher and putting the ball in the net it means nothing.
Slade has had plenty of transfer windows to get us a goalscorer but he has not. He isnt givin saadi a chance and i believe he could be better than pilkington upfront.
Slade has had options all season to get this side in the playoffs but we will miss out imo, i hope im proved wrong but i dont think i will and if we miss out then its a definite slade out for me as he has had the players at his disposal all season to get us play offs.

So you think we have had the players all season to get us into the play offs but also think not having any strikers will cost us.
Surely if he hasn't got the strikers for it he hasn't had the players all season because none of the strikers who have left have been better than Pilkington or Immers

Any injuries to Pilks & Immers the season is over.
I trust Slade on his decision not to play Saadi, if he's selected then he must be ready, it seems the injuries have really knocked him backwards
And that's assuming he is any good in the first place.

Sorry your right, i was wrong with what i said.
We havent really had a goalscorer or good enough striker all season and neither did we last season. It is the managers job to recognise this and sort the problem out, slade hasent and had plenty of transfer windows to do this and thats one of the reasons slade should be axed if we fail in play offs, not good enough imo

Manga is quality he left him on the bench for god knows how long, whats to say saadi isnt quality aswell and hes doing exactly the same with him.

That's a good comment, maybe it is a theme with Slade, he doesn't like to disrupt the team. It would be good to play him and find out but it seems the stakes are too high at present with promotion push

Id bet money that if Slade has been able to bring in a striker it would have been a big lump we could knock it up to.
Not having any strikers has forced Slade to adapt and fair play to him he has, we are now playing it on the floor which is our only real option with Pilks up top. I think the results have been pretty recent with Pilks up top. Leeds unfortunate and an away point today.

I personally think Saadi should of come on today for pilky and maybe it is the best option for a play off push

100% agree. We're giving it our all but no striker will at some point start costing us the odd point. Leeds was prime example where anybody that knew where net was would have given us more points

I agree with you in regards to not having a decent striker all season, but we've barely spent any money which is not down to him. I'm undecided on if he should be given a new contract or not, I think he's done a good job under the circumstances but if we are going to have a good go at promotion the circumstances have to be changed (money made available)

Only two subs used today and no sign of Saadi being given a run out even though Pilkington and Immers were shattered.
A tactical mistake by Slade or maybe Saadi is absolute shite?

Or maybe saadi isnt quite part of the clique and slade isnt bothered with him and just stickin to his favourites, remember that other quality striker we had who slade outcasted and wasnt part of the clique guerra?
Or maybe slade is steady eddy and dosent have the bollocks to drop players who are putting in average performances, unless hes forced to through injuries slade dosent like to make changes and thats another reason he is a manager that will never get us promoted imo.

Doyle scored a goal yesterday and the loan window is still open? Two options if our reserve strikers are not up to it?
Sun Mar 20, 2016 3:53 pm
No Whitts will cost us. We need the extra passing class added into the midfield to compliment the movement. It was worrying that the last game he played he didn't really move from the flanks.
2 wingers with 1 and a half strikers leave the middle over run, it looked a 442 yesterday. We need dominance in midfield to find the killer passes otherwise we are knocking it long to pilks as if he is Kenwynne Jones and that wasn't that fruitful.
Saadi would be as frustrated as Pilks yesterday

I got to be honest from what i seen of doyle in a city shirt he looked like he had potential.
We have a better all around side now and create a lot of chances and are better in attack than we was last season. DOYLE WOULD SCORE MORE GOALS THAN PILKINGTON IN THIS SIDE IMO.

OK don't suppose I will get many browner points but one of the best Championship strikers over quite a few seasons is a guy called Adam Le Fondre, cant get a kick at Wolves and cost us alot of cash, surely he would be a great option to have back, than either have untried strikers or young guys who we all know Slade will not allow on the bench let alone the pitch !
