Speculation linking Nottingham Forest with a move for Cardiff and former Manchester United striker Federico Macheda was on the money, and the 24 year old completed his loan move to the City Ground in time to make his starting debut in last night's draw against Hull City.
Having come through United's Academy set up, he took in loan experience with Queens Park Rangers, Doncaster Rovers and Birmingham City and he comes in with a career record of 61 starts, a further 79 appearances from the bench with a return of 26 goals.
His record at United from pretty impressive with 15 starts, 21 subs, with five goals. His time at Cardiff has been mixed with injuries, but he carries 16 starts, 17 subs with a return of eight goals.
His best time in front of the net was with Birmingham where he scored ten times in ten starts, with eight sub appearances.
He comes in on loan until the end of the current campaign and got 58 minutes under his belt in last night's one all draw at the KC Stadium.
