With 9 games left what is our target to achieve the play-offs?
over the last few years the amount of points needed to achieve the play-offs has varied quit a lot.
2015 5th & 6th Place 78 points (the year we were champions Hull in 2nd had 79 points)
2014 6th Place 73 points
2013 6th Place 68 points
I would estimate looking at this year's table which is tighter than previous years between 72 - 74 points will secure a play-off place. We have 58 points and over the last 10 games we have averaged 2 points per match so on current form we could achieve 76 points.
Interesting, over the last six matches City are the form team, over the last 6 matches: Derby - 10 points, Wednesday - 6 points, City - 12 points, Birmingham 8 points, Ipswich - 7 points
If you programme all of that into a prediction for the season it comes out
Derby 75 points
Wednesday 68 points
City 76 points
Birmingham 68 points
Ipswich 67 points
every year at least one team comes through late in the season, ALL THE INDICATORS SAY IT WILL BE US!!!!

though i agree the figure will be around 72/74 points. I dont see us as a team "coming through late" we are already right in the mix, that sort of team would be someone like QPR, who could mount a late challenge if they put a series of wins together
The thing about form is that its likely to change, Sheffield Wednesday have been on a poor run of late, and i see them picking things up, and Derby should really ease into the playoffs with the team they have.
