Don't think he's crap he's a proven goalscorer at this level. However if he was as good as people make out a Premiership team would have snapped him up, plenty of players from the Championship are being signed by Prem teams nowadays. Scouts have obviously taken a look at him and decided he's over rated hence the large transfer fees.

A player who is a phenomenal finisher with clever movement to get into goal scoring positions, but unless he has the service, he has nothing else to his game to contribute.

Rhodes has been largely anonymous so far for Middlesbrough, simply because he isn't scoring and when Rhodes doesn't score, he doesn't have anything else to his game to contribute in different ways either.

There's a reason why Blackburn started playing Rudy Gestede ahead of Rhodes.

I was thinking that today he doesn't get involved at all

Never played well against us at the CCS.

For all the hype i believe on what i have seen with my own eyes that McCormack has been the best championship striker in the last four or five seasons.

JORDAN RHODES GOALS -

SEASON-GOALS.

09-10 = 23

10-11 = 22

11-12 = 40

12-13 = 33

13-14 = 25

14-15 = 21

15-16 = 11

Or if you look at Soccerbase - 286 games + 167 goals = 0.51 a game.

Would take this guy ahead of anything we have now

That's your opinion which I respect.

My personal opinion? If Rhodes started up front for us in place of Pilkington or Immers, we wouldn't be playing half as well or look half as dangerous going forwards. We wouldn't be stretching the opposing defence, we wouldn't be dragging defenders out of position and we wouldn't be creating as many chances. We wouldn't be as pacey breaking forwards, we wouldn't be as dynamic, we wouldn't be defending from the front and we wouldn't be pressurising defenders into making mistakes.

I don't think it's any coincidence that Middlesbrough's form has declined since Jordan Rhodes has led the line for them. Blackburn don't seem to be any worse off without Rhodes either. Rhodes is a luxury striker who is only useful when he scores, and he must regularly score to make up for his limitations and lack of all round game.

His goal scoring record is outstanding and mainly for struggling teams as well

It's up to his teammates to create the chances for him, because he has proved countless times he will put the ball in the back of the net

Unfortunately for him at the moment Boro are in disarray...but I would have him in my squad above any other striker in the championship

I heard a rumour that Karanka did not want to sign Rhodes and Downing, partly why he's had enough

Seems that is the case and Karanka wants out (despite him staying for now) to re-join his mate Jose Mourinho at ManUre in the summer ;)
