Anyone watching Charlton and Middlesbrough, gonna be all sorts going on here. 3 minute delay at start of game to clear black and white beach balls from pitch!

Why didn't we do anything like this. All we could manage was a few thousand marching through Canton chanting racist songs

Because whenever we demonstrated, or any that I was involved with organising, we were insistent that the demos didn't have an affect on the team.
Demo outside, support inside.

To be fair to the BU that was the correct stance, I was joking with that comment. The difference between us and Charlton was we were a very successful team and top of the league or fighting to stay up in the top division, it would have been absurd to demonstrate inside the stadium. However if we were in there shoes with relegation imminent then demo inside the stadium is the best option. I feel sorry for Charlton fans.
