Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has refused to take training and tomorrow's game, and their assistant manager will be in charge for it.

He'll be leaving then don't see how he can go back to managing the first team after throwing his toys out the pram

Not good for them.
If they miss out this year then surely they will face financial problems next year

Ned, obviously something going on up there that needs resolving, but if he doesn't do the game itself then it puts the 'Boro Board with a dilemma

They'e far too close to promotion to take a chance on missing out this year and Karaoke is either onboard or he isn't!

Not the time for pedantic behaviour or point-proving, if that's what it is! :ayatollah:

I read the boro forums about this and what most seem to be saying is that Downing organised a meeting with the players and there was Revolt , they are all slagging Downing off bigtime on their forum

Thought this was a observation of Russ during game time

Bit childish seeing Boro are doing so well this season, need to sort their differences out before coming to handbags and get on with the job in hand

I wonder what song the Boro fans will rhyme with Karanka?

Strange! They looked the business, on and off the pitch, when we were up there the other week.

And you back up a point I made some time ago when the usual suspects on here were continuously saying our club was a laughing stock because of our owner!

The simple fact is that other clubs supporters take no notice of what is or isn't going on at a club until it (a) affects them, or (b) they are their next opponents, at which time any ammunition is used to 'wind up' their opponents!

All is obviously not well up there but it bothers me not one iota as I worry (not so much lately to be fair) about our own club and its affairs! :ayatollah:

I really hope they mess up for the silly amounts of money they paid.

For me being in the top 2 is where they have to be not where they should be with the money they spent.

They lost today so I just wonder if the off-pitch issues are going to start to have a detrimental effect on their performances? And we perhaps know more about that than most.
