I remember us getting 11,000 against Reading in a FA Cup tie in the late 90's and it felt like sardines in a can at Ninian Park. The game also attracted comments about "where are these others every week?" Now we get 14k and its considered crap.

Agree.just looking through the records .in Feb 85 a home game against Middlesbrough in the second division attracted a crowd of only 2500.

We are getting the crowds that we have normally had over the years in this division. I remember back in the late 60's/early 70's that we would get around 15,000 in the old Div 2, and between 20 & 25000 if we were mounting a serious promotion challenge. The crowds we had for a few seasons recently were the exception rather than normal. We are an average size second division side, and we are getting the sort of gates that can be expected. If we were in or close to the automatic promotion places, we would be getting around 20,000 most home games. I think many people including me, think that we will fall short of the play offs this season.

Ive got a paper cutting from The Echo saying about our 'bumper crowd' of 4500 against Hereford in the late '80's.
