Russell Slade was appointed as Cardiff City’s manager back in October 2014, following a mediocre return in the hands of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
There is no doubt that Slade inherited a top class Championship squad, however Slade’s first task was to de-clutter the ranks and cut costs from the club’s hefty wage bill.
Now that the dust has settled and Russell Slade’s Cardiff are firing on all cylinders, there is a real cutting edge starting to form allowing the clear stand-out performers to stand up and be counted as the Bluebirds fight for the remaining play-off position.
So far this season fans have failed to fill the 33,000 capacity Cardiff City Stadium, mainly caused by the dire style of play which has drastically improved in recent weeks.
As the season enters its final few months, Cardiff’s top players are likely to be targeted by teams in the Premier League to help improve their squad’s.
With the South Wales club bursting with talent FLW takes a look at the FIVE Cardiff City players that will be in the Premier League before you know it………

everyone will have their own opinions but only Marshall and Manga for me would hold their own in the premiership.
Pilkington may do ok but it depends on having much better players around him than we have now.
Noone and Connolly have found their level.

I agree with that.
Marshall is a no brainer. Manga is a player who will actually perform better at the higher level surrounded by better players. He has pace, can pass and his heading has improved massively this season.
The others are good Championship players.
The one I worry about is Immers. He came on loan with a view to a permanent deal but his performances will have alerted a lot of clubs and it may not be so easy to get him signed if we miss out on the play-offs.

Marshall – Easily
Manga – Maybe but probably as a squad player, needs to cut out the little mistakes
Noone – Potentially at the right club if he got his confidence back and was playing in a system that suited him.
Pilks – I don’t think so, his time at the top level has gone unless we go up – Squad player at best.
Connolly – A very solid championship player as proven by the number of promotions.

All 5 will be playing Premiership football next season and they are not going to any other club

Marshall Pilks and Noone have played in the premiership before , Marshall and Noone impressed for us in the premiership
and if Noone had not got injured at the end of that season I think a prem team would have gone in for him

Only Bruno, i think Marshall has missed his chance as well.

Noone proved he can do it in the Premier. I believe others could too, such as Immers. Connolly was always played at right back when we went up and has been my player of the season. Dikgacoi played regularly for Palace in the Premier, but looks sluggish compared with O'Keefe. Who'd have thought that Drinkwater would do such a great job?

Agreed, Marshall has made several silly mistakes this season which is why he's a Championship keeper. I know he's won us many points as well, but the same can be said about so many other keepers.
