Aston Villa are lining up former Birmingham boss Steve Bruce as Remi Garde's replacement, according to the Daily Mirror.

Garde is linked with a summer return to Lyon and Bruce would be an ideal fit due to his experience in the Championship.

He could be tempted to leave his current job at Hull City if they don’t achieve promotion this season.

I'm guessing Villa just want to piss their fans off even more, by hiring a former Birmingham City manager...

Think you are right there get someone in at the top first who really loves the club then they might became a top club again

Don't know who is worse at picking managers, Villa or Newcastle.
With the resources, facilities, history and support those clubs have got you'd think they would attract a whole host of top names and not end up with the rubbish they've had for the past few years.
