Ticket Office Last Night

Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:11 am

Called in the ticket office last night to buy an adult and a child ticket for a mate for the Derby game. I went early about 5.30 to ensure i did not interfere with last minute tickets sales for game last night. The boy on the desk said Derby tickets are not on sale yet, so i replied they are on the website for sale, he then answered they are only on sale to Gold members, i replied i am season ticket holder so that will be fine. I was then told no only Gold members, what a joke the club are moaning that crowds are low but make it really hard to purchase tickets.

Darren, This is when our club lets themselves down.

Shocking from the club, I don't even know why they're insisting on these Gold memberships either when they're desperate to get people in the stadium.

Well they must be on sale today because my brother who is a senior season ticket holder the same as me text me to say he renewed his season ticket over the phone this morning and bought a ticket for his grandson for the Derby game at the same time.

What Darren was saying was he could not buy other match tickets on the day or night of a game.

Like has been said, think the club told the original poster that fans couldn't buy a ticket for the Derby game last night as we had a match on.

Also very strange that fans were told that season ticket holders couldn't buy an additional ticket, but gold members could.

If the reason was that it was a matchday then weve known about that for years now.

If it wasnt for that reason were you trying to get tickets for people who are NOT gold members?

Tickets are on sale for ST's and Gold members.

Although the Gold membership can seem a bit redundant at the movement with our attendances. The club just cannot ignore those that chosen to take them out at the start of the season.

You've got that right.
Gold members pay a fee and are able to purchase tickets at a reduced price if they get them early. They are available to the general public a couple of days later.
The people who wanted the tickets were members of the general public so makes perfect sense.
