Reality Check/Slade

Tue Mar 08, 2016 11:36 pm

Reality check tonight we wont make play offs imo. Yes we could have won and was a spirited performance but we still lost 2-0 at home against a very poor leeds side.

Pilkington was garbage tonight and slade didnt change it.
Playing every game and playin the rest of the season without a recognised out and out striker in the team long term over the course of games will not get you promoted. Pilkington has been decent upfront got a couple of goals but is not the answer upfront but slade the manager who has never succeeded in getting promoted thinks he is the answer and i cant see him changing things anytime soon and when he does it will be too late. Saadi and zahore 2 good strikers on the bench imo but nowhere to be seen.

People who think slade will get us promoted are off their heads imo. I stick by my opinion and its never changed and that is SLADE OUT.

so he can't have an opinion.

Pilks has scored 5 goals in 10, 2 of which were pens but still scored, his movement causes problems and his link up with Immers and Whitts tore Leeds a new ass last night. It just never happened for him, but Russ will never change the shape or system mid game, its not in his nature. We lost because of the ref and fabio in his eyes, making an impact from the bench is not on Slades CV.

I have accepted he is here for as long as Vinny wants him and the new found Russ love is a bit confusing, but we do fickle well.

I don't agree with his post, but everyone's entitled to their opinion - if you don't agree with it either say so or offer your opinion against it and engage in a little bit of a debate.

Reacting in the way you have isn't exactly helpful to anyone.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion mate and i never said otherwise, just stating its getting boring. All season this forum has been doom and gloom but if you look at the bigger picture as many now are things are looking up.

Personally i just cant see why some people refuse to acknowledge that things are getting better and help to built the positive momentum rather than dragging up the same negative shite over and over and over again.

1 - we are back blue
2- playing better football
3- fans seem to be slowly reconnecting with the club
4 - season ticket renewal prices are fair with price freeze
5 - school ticket incentives
6 - one place off play off
7 - atmosphere improving

We could all start a positive topic on any of the above but 'no' lets be original and slate Slade once again and this because we lost a game where every City player gave 110% and at no time did we look like the weaker side even with a man down.

Yes everyone is entitled to my opinion and mine is -

CHANGE THE RECORD AND SUPPORT THE CLUB :bluescarf:

Just one of those games, it happens. Honestly, do you really think Leeds were the better team yesterday?

If yes, can i ask in all seriousness, were you there? This is not sarcasm, genuinely interested as i know a lot of opinions are given from watching highlights or listening to radio commentary.

Of course i was there.....

We ripped them apart with clever movement all night and the left with Ralls, Whitts, Immers and Malone took the piss at times.

Noone for Whitts was predictable and Noone did his usual show pony tricks and looked good but Pilkington isn't a natural header of the ball so crosses however poor were not effective. Ameobi for Lawrence, again another player who isn't a natural finisher and tosses around on the flanks when the goals are in the middle.

Its going to take me a while to appreciate Zahore, so far he in between Jon Parkin and Cornelius in my opinion. Movement has been the catalyst for our recovery and we needed to keep it, is Saadi still not ready to play after 34 games ?
