Proud of the team today!

Without context a 2-0 defeat at home to Leeds is a terrible result.

But anyone who was there until the end tonight will have been part of a crowd applauding/singing/cheering the players and their efforts at the final whistle and rightly so. :ayatollah:

In fact I've rarely seen a reaction like it after a home defeat!

Made me proud to be a City fan, as did our 2nd half performance with 10 men, I think everybody can see we deserved to get something out of the game. Immers in particular was outstanding!

Other results went our way so were still right in the mix... roll on Saturday. :bluescarf:

Those that say "the only stat that counts is the score" are obviously absolutely right. However, the nature of defeat can often dictate whether it has any lasting, negative affect.

Those players will know that not only did they give everything and outplay Leeds, the crowd also knew it too. If they play like that on Saturday against Ipswich I would be amazed if they didn't get a win this time.

I've waited a while to be convinced that this team really wants this; tonight I am convinced they do and it's only a possible lack of a goal scorer that may keep us out of the Top 6 :ayatollah: Really looking forward to Saturday now :bluescarf:

Came out of the Stadium tonight feeling gutted at losing but so so proud to be a Bluebird. Our players and our magnificent fans gave everything but sometimes it just isnt your day. Reminded me of how proud I felt after losing to Liverpool at Wembley. The spirit is back now all we need is to fill our Stadium and get back to it being a fortress. We are so lucky to be a part of this fantastic football club. Teza :bluescarf:
