Sky Blues fans cannot attend a football game in the UK until March 2019 after being arrested at Walsall game

Three Coventry City fans have been banned from all football matches in the UK for the next three years.

They were arrested at the Sky Blues’ home match against Walsall in January and charged with public order offences.

They pleaded guilty at Coventry Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 3, and were each handed a three-year banning order.

The trio are: Corey Gamble, 19, of Albany Road, Earlsdon; John Bridge, 18, of no fixed address: and George Stringer, 21, of Drake Street, Foleshill.

The banning orders prevents them from: entering any regulated football match within the United Kingdom; entering a specified exclusion zone covering the Ricoh Arena and immediate areas for three hours before, during and three hours after any Coventry City home match; and entering any city or town when Coventry City FC are playing an away fixture, three hours before, during and three after the game.

They were each also fined £170 and ordered to pay £105 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
