Watching SSN, asking a tennis expert, 'what is the procedure when a tennis player gets banned?' Err, 'tennis expert' not a clue. Tennis players don't get banned!
WTA must be a bit freaked out since athletics has been exposed

This is a drug she has been taking for 10 years apparently.
Why would a fit healthy 28 year old professional sportswoman be taking a drug for angina and myocardial infarction? Should she be playing elite level sport if her health was in such a state of chronic hearth failure?

All I've seen on SSN so far is ex-pro's I've never heard of making excuses for her presumably because she's blonde and pretty

James Blake former world no 4, tweets. 'Classy of Sharapova to hold a press conference for this and admit making a mistake. Definitely agree that you have to be aware though.'

To be fair this was banned on the 1st January this year, she's been taking this for a long time. A load of athletes have been caught taking this drug this year as it improves endurance. This is obviously a mistake on her part, not blatant cheating like Lance Armstrong I wouldn't say. She didn't check the banned list which is just stupidity on her and her teams part.

If I'm honest, the only reason I ever watch womens tennis is too look at their bangers, gussets and clackers. To be fair, the only reason I watch any womens sports is down to these three very important factors.

Agree, but such stupidity shouldn't be met with a two-year suspension, as is being reported.

Two years is excessive should be a years ban as a reminded to others to not make the same mistake. She didn't check the banned list which by all accounts is massive and ever growing, she's handled this very well to be fair she realises she has been stupid and confronted the truth publicly.

Exactly the same, why else would you want to watch women's sport otherwise.
