The Leeds boss has made a statement fans may not agree with, even though he quickly tried to take it back...
Leeds United fans may be a little worried about Steve Evans' message to his players ahead of their trip to Cardiff City on Tuesday night, according to BBC Radio Leeds.
Indeed, Evans says the there is 'absolutely no pressure' on the United squad because Cardiff are aiming for the play-offs. But is that really wise?
The Scot told the BBC: "Cardiff is a game where there is no pressure on us. Absolutely none. We can go there and play with freedom. At the same time, when I say that, we need to play with the same desire as we did against Bolton."
Evans' attempts to go back on his statement a little may soften his stance - he has asked for desire.
But, after the big deal the head coach has been making of the need to make supporters proud recently, he's not exactly sending the right message to his players, is he?
What Evans has essentially said - whether he's meant to or not - is that Leeds can afford to suffer any kind of bad result at Cardiff... simply because they beat the bottom side in the Championship four days prior.
It's a slippery slope whenever you take the pressure off. And, after last Monday's 4-0 loss at Brighton, Evans is in no position to tell any Leeds player they aren't under pressure.

Annis...I don't see it that way.
Fan pressure can paralyse players. They play with fear. Instead of taking a turn, they will tap it back to the passer for fear of doing something wrong.
How often do you see sides who are already relagated, play much better. No pressure.
Look at Ranieri. Has told his players all season 'No pressure, just enjoy. Leave pressure to me.'
Don't like Steve Evans but guess it was his way of allowing his players to just play.
