Any outsider would think this is an hooligan site with like you say football trouble
Maybe more civilised people would visit if such threads were limited.

No problem with the threads just don't understand why 2 stickies on the same Non CCFC related subject.

Theres a few threads that are pushed straight to bottom and they havent long been posted.Does seem like to many stickies.

Both seem to have gathered a lot of interest, as do the other stickies up there.
Normally between 6-8pm on the Sunday after a Saturday match, quite a few will be dropped. Such as MOTM vote as the bulk of votes come in within 24 hours, a couple of topics on away crowds and trouble if there's been any, highlights and a few reports/opinions on the match.

Theres always several stickies on the same subject to raise hits

Traffic is always a good thing as it brings in the pennies to maintain the site as they're not free as that's why I'm allowed to run riot on here

There's 3 stickies which haven't had a post on them for nearly 24 hours ffs

Correct Mike. You had a good idea but your thread gets lost down the page because the mods want to self indulge themselves

It was an accident Chris I got on the coach after Bristol away made one a sticky without noticing the other one was but between them they have had 10,000 views nearly so I can't say much

I do think the amount of stickies stifles the board and leaves many people not bothering to make threads. People don't bother to scroll down any more because there are so many stickies. Should be a limit of five topics stickied. Lets be honest why are the opinions of certain posters stickied? Should be left to the posters to see if it remains at the top or not.

I've just taken a couple off. I was split on which ones to take off as people normally moan there's no positivity up there.
I like the amount of stickies personally, as it gives me all the main news of the day when I finish work. Put some of my posts up there, but not all as I feel it should be main news or sometimes opinions.

I used to manage stickies in my moderating days, for me the stickies section should be used daily to put 'relevant club news' that is generally copy and pasted from Wales Online, I think its good to keep the users updated with whats going on at the club.
I dont like when there are more than 6 or 7 stickies though, take up to much space of page 1 of the forum, if a post isnt get much attention, unsticky it and replace it with a topic that is.
