Dana's Biggest Cash Cow just got Bust!!!
Nate Diaz Submits Connor McGregor in Round 2 with Chokehold.
Irishmans first visit to 170lbs ends in defeat despite early control of the fight,
He got rocked and tried to take it to the floor where Diaz quickly dominated and Exposed his ground game.
Also Holy Holm who previously defeated Dana's other cash cow Rhonda Rousey lost her title also via chokehold to Mischa Tate

Defeats are easy to come by in this game. He will come back at a lower weight no doubt

25lbs is a big jump and didn't he only have short notice on the fight?

McGregor needed that, might humble him a little.
So happy for Miesha Tate though, what a performance!

I don't think Dana will mind one bit. Shows any one can beat anyone. Great for the sport.
So happy for Tate. Look at the trio of matches that can make now with huge interest. Tate-holm rematch. Tate-rousey rematch. Or holm-rousey rematch for title shot. Or holm or rousey beat Tate then there title rematch with with any of the three. I think that cash cow got bigger a few massive fights there which ever way results go. And that's just one division. You still have anjos to fight either Diaz or mcgregor and then the winner of that fight fighting which ever didn't fight out of Diaz and mcgregor. And not to mention Aldo rematch. Dana got plenty of fights there for a couple of years to come.
UFC rocks.

He is still a great champion and has introduced a whole load of people to the sport, even more so than Rousey has. He has been very humble in defeat and he will come back to fight another day, probably to defend his belt rather than going after a rematch ir Dos Anjos. Aldo again would be my guess.

I'd agree with you there. Hopefully dos anjos gets Diaz. On same card.

He is 18-3 so the fact he has been beaten previously will help him.
I think Ronda is potentially damaged mentally from the defeat though.
Time will tell of course

You ever watch the TFC? Pretty brutal but the ring girls are well fit. Make the UFC ones look like mo gets. Lol.

Rhonda could well be finished. She's broken down publicly a few times since during interviews and now she's off making a film when she should be focusing on training.
Mcgregor bit off more than he could chew, simple as that. He was always going to loose on the ground especially in the state he was in.
'i can go all day'... Apparently not at 170 you can't mate...

He underestimated the division but to make the jump of 25lbs and go up two divisions for a challenge and to promote himself and the sport more so I will give him respect on that.
Both guys at a slight disadvantage taking the fight on 11 days notice.. the training McGregor does and the prep for the original guy he was supposed to fight would have been carried out for a few months so to try and get research on a different opponent in 11 days wouldn't be easy at all same goes for Diaz.
Everyone is acting surprised about the way he spoke after the fight I don't know why.. the guy is honest as it comes may go OTT on somethings he says but even when he loses he ain't going to be sore loser and give a tone of respect and credit to Diaz.
Drop back down and defend the title then see what happens is the solution.

He has stated that the Featherweights need to be reminded of who's in charge

I read somewhere there were doubts bed ever fight at FW as the weight loss is taking it's toll on his body. I think he knew his limits and has ridden the crest of the wave and cashed in. Fair play to him.
I couldn't see him beating dos anjos and mate generally fights at LW so think he struggle in that division.

He is correct, the way Aldo came out for example was hilarious.. a guy who got humiliated in 13 seconds and supposedly true world champion with pride and respect for opponents.. McGregor has had huge influence on Aldo since the fight in December with comments and that in media.

I'm not basing this on what I've read somewhere, it's from McGregors post fight presser.
Most fighters fight below there natural weight.
