Swansea City boss Francesco Guidolin will miss Wednesday's Premier League game at Arsenal as he has been taken to hospital with a chest infection.
The Welsh club said Guidolin, 60, is in a "comfortable position" and his full recovery is expected within a few days.
The Italian has been referred to a respiratory specialist in London.
"The specialist felt the best course of action was for Guidolin to remain in hospital for a few days to receive further treatment," the club said.
Swans coach Alan Curtis will take charge of the side during Guidolin's recovery period.
After Wednesday's match at the Emirates Stadium, Swansea face three crucial matches in their battle against relegation from the Premier League.
They host Norwich City on Saturday before a trip to Bournemouth on 12 March and then bottom club Aston Villa visit the Liberty Stadium on 19 March.
Swansea currently lie three points above the relegation zone in 16th place.
