Recent results between their sides would tend to suggest that Slade was very much Evans's bitch so perhaps it's for the best that he's been sacked before next week.

Absolutely not, I do believe Steve Evans gets his players to play a certain way that seems to always defeat Slade. I'm not saying Evans is a better manager though, just giving him credit for something he clearly does for his teams to beat a Slade team.

Let's be honest there has been plenty of fan power to remove Slade for various reasons and we couldn't have been far away from joining the madness especially after the loss to Shrewsbury in the FA Cup (the closest I came to joining the bandwagon)

A lot of the complaints about Slade are fair comment but we have to accept that the magic manager doesn't exist and if we are to do another promotion we have to wise up and all work together.

I want some stability and I see Slade as an affordable safe pair of hands. He has learnt very quickly in this league and with the club getting its act together I can see good times ahead if we hold our nerve.

Appears this is NOT currently the situation and that Evans has simply been told NOT to speak to the media under any circumstances...

Not looking good though, as Cellino said to be seriously mulling over the position and his record is very poor on supporting his managers!
