Give out more free tickets......................

Sun Feb 28, 2016 5:39 pm

Better attendance yesterday as a result of the free tickets.

Although I have paid good money for my ST I would be quite happy for the club to continue this and perhaps extend it to others, not just kids.

If we could encourage more to come it can only create a better atmosphere for the place. Perhaps present ST holders can fetch free guests but they can go anywhere in the stadium.

With the run of games we have got coming and our position looking better I would have no issue with these "freebies" going out :bluescarf:

£5 is not much for a ticket, this has been the offer numerous times
I worked out as a 20 year old if I had a valid NUS card it'd have been cheaper to buy a ticket on a match day basis than the cost of my season ticket this season

Give it to the kids yes as Primary School kids may enjoy it but it's taking the mick that the loyal fans are the ones paying more and more than the ones who pick and choose when to come

There were loads of young kids in the family on Saturday and you could feel the excitement of going into the stadium.

It works as well, I know that. My daughter came home with a flyer six seasons ago from Cardiff city community after a coaching session at the school. I had only been a few time since she was born (mrs stopped working), it was free for her and a fiver for me, she loved it and the rest is history. I returned but this time with an 8 year old, different day out but probably more enjoyable than the 8 pints and steak & chips before the game.

It has to start somewhere.

The club need to continue with this. I sit in the FS with my lad and it doesn't bother me one iota that free tickets are available to kids. I can guarantee that some of those who attended will get the City bug which they will only get by going to a game - its how it starts. The offer should also be extended to the parks clubs teams across Cardiff/Vale/RCT and wherever really. It would be good for the club to show their appreciation of ST's though, even if it was just the kids. I also think that our away fans should also receive something and again, even if its just the youngsters. Last season, the Jerks gave the away fans a shirt whilst all we got last was a Peter's Pies 'Lips & Arseoles' Sausage Roll.

Free Slush from my company would be a good one, has to be blue raspberry though

Peter's sent down a young marketing piece along with a guy with a video-camera and she was expecting folks to say how excited they were about receiving a free lips'n'arsehole roll. If she would have approached me for an interview then the said item would have probably been lodged right up her coal-hole. Would have been a very popular Xhamster video though.

And that's good, I definitely agree with the idea of the younger kids going, heck it should be a thing all the time or something like a quid game for primary school kids but no way should we be giving free adult/student tickets for the prices they are, it's not fair on ST holders

I still think we should give out free tickets to servicemen and women past and present.
