Russell Slade hopes Ben Turner can feature this season before contract decision

It’s a hard one because he’s had the injury and he’s working so hard to overcome that again and it’s hard to assess from a football point of view as he fights with his rehab.
We will have to look at the situation when he comes through. I hope he has some football before the end of the season, that’s the target for everybody. Ben will be taking each day as it comes, hoping he makes progress. He will have his targets. It’s natural to be concerned but he will understand that having had the one ankle, he’ll want to prove to himself as much as anybody he’s in top shape again.

When he was injured, I thought our defence would be compromised quite easily.

But Matt Connolly and Bruno Ecuele Manga haven't been too bad. Would like Big Ben back but our defence is coping well without him.

Couldn't agree more

4th choice now, regardless of how people feel about Morrison, so if we end up letting him go I don't think it will affect us. He's barely played since we got relegated anyway, I don't think?
