A SHORT-LIVED FEEL-GOOD FACTOR
By Steve Tucker

They say one swallow does not a summer make and that has never been truer than in the case of the Bluebirds this season. It seems every time you think Russell Slade’s side have turned a corner and are about to fulfil their evident potential, things go awry once more.
Anyone who witnessed their demolition of Brighton last weekend could be forgiven for having their hopes raised that a play-off finish was indeed on, but at Boro things came crashing back down to earth again.
OK, Boro are real high-fliers with an expensive squad, but Brighton have been setting the pace this term too in the Championship.
It is hard to even begin to know why the Bluebirds cannot string a run of results together. They have won back-to-back games just once all term, way back in August and September when they won at Nottingham Forest and then followed that up with a home victory over Huddersfield.
That is not good enough to grab a play-off spot and not worthy of one really. The Bluebirds need a run of wins now, but you fear evidence of that happening is just not apparent.

Annis how can the same 11 players put those two different performances in over the last two games
It doesn't make sense
Do the players have the wrong mentality or what
IMO it's not the managers fault
The sharpness and crisp passing ,and urgency of the Brighton game ,was just not there last night
One theory I would like to put foreward is
If we got promoted how many of yesterday's starters would get a start in the premier league
In all honesty just a few
Are they just doing enough to keep themselves in the comfort zone of the championship hmmm

I dont think its possible for them to play like they did the brighton game, twice in four days, will need to change the players around pilks on saturday, i fear. would you drop Immers and Lawrence for Zohore and Saadi?
