I wonder how many of them actually go to games, home or away? There are reasons why our support is what it is, but that's another story. People who go to games understand these things. The Borough fans even applauded us at the end, in particular for joining in the applause for Alastair Brownlee. RIP. Off to bed now!

Day off work (in today and knackered!)
Got home at 4am
10 hours in a coach so uncomfortable my arse is now a different shape to what it was yesterday morning.
3-1 defeat.
Had a great day!!

I must have had the seat the schoolkids wrecked as I seemed to be sitting on the floor for most of the journey!

My opinion on it for what its worth is that the criticism of our away support is part justified, part harsh but just goes to show how decimated our support has become as a whole.
We must have fans living all over the country and there was a time when anyone north of Birmingham would have seen a trip to Boro as doable for an away day with the City.
I would have thought that there would be at least 50-100 Cardiff/Welsh fans living up North who would have gone alone, just like when we only took a couple of hundred to Ipswich, there would have been a time when a few hundred would have gone just by fans who live in London and the South East alone.
Another thing is the fun element and the cost obviously
And finally the fall of the RAMS, whether you liked them or not they would have had a couple of coaches going up there last night minimum, people enjoyed the whole RAMS thing and they used to swell our away followings massively.

Loved the rams, never been the same since in my opinion. The most enjoyable away days Ive had was travelling as a member of the valley rams.

that is the obvious reason numbers have dwindled - it is no coincidence since they disbanded numbers all over the UK have suffered - bring them back I say, good days the bits I can remember

And killed the fun at the same time. And the powers that be wonder where all the fans have gone. You can't have it all ways. Simple really they have killed the enjoyment factor of travelling to see your team in my opinion. And anyway in my opinion us cardiff fans were always better behaved if left to our own devices it was when they started imposing sanctions on us that trouble ever started. Fact.
