TONY PULIS SET FOR SUMMER TALKS

Sky Sports

Tuesday 23rd Feb 2016

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has refused to commit his future to The Hawthorns.

Pulis' contract expires in 2017 but he has offered no assurances he will stay and will seek talks with chairman Jeremy Peace in the summer.

I would love to see Pullis come home In the summer and manage us back into the Premier, not a massive fan of his style, but love his passion and he knows how to win games and promotions. He would be ideal to get us back on the big stage and get the fans truly behind the club. :bluescarf:

If I'm right he has only been promoted once and that was 13 years ago now at Stoke. He's more of a relegation battler.

He gets clubs out of trouble and then the next season pushes them to mid table decency in the Prem. He can never move them on though.

Would still like him to get a chance here if we had a vacancy.

Is it him or or the club that's stalling? After all not set world alight since been there? And as been pointed out before, he's a trouble shooter rather than a promotion chasing manager! Prefer progressive young manager here. :old:

Totally agree! Though if he could work alongside a younger manager then it would be a great combination!!! :bluescarf:

Heard on the radio last week. West brom fans dont like him.
Boring football, no attack clueless, set in his ways. Pretty much how a lot on here talk about Slade.

he would probably get us promoted but would command a high wage and want to spend a lot of money too.

His club is in turmoil, he spent £8m on Chester only to play him at LB or not at all. The man is clueless with money, glad he's not our manager because he'd be as bad as Malky and Ole with money.

Tan won't get Pulis he said in his interview about us fans wanting Pulis but said he costs alot of money something I don't see Tan spending money on again (manager), I personally think that he will either renew Slades contract or take another punt on a less well known manager again

That's certainly the impression he (Tan) gave, Darran!

Not set the world alight? He's managing West Brom not Chelsea or Man U.

He took them over half way through last season when they sat 1 point above the relegation zone and led them to safety with ease. Finishing 13th and 9 points above relegation.

This season they are currently in 14th, 8 points above relegation.

I'd say he's doing a bloody good job considering the club he's managing.

So clueless he's brought in Jonny Evans for 6m and Darren Fletcher for free

Wonder if Tan would be interested in his never been relegated attitude if we got back to the premiership, well worth the money then

I bet he wishes now he paid the money to replace Malky with him

I always thought Pulis was the man needed to keep us in the Premier (not sure if he was available then)
Could he get us promoted...who knows, but I believe he would keep us up if he did.

Considering how Stoke fans felt about him by the end, and how WBA fans do now too, why are people so keen to have Pulis in charge?

We aren't talking disenchantment with their manager, we're talking about fans who absolutely hate the guy and want him out. Could do without that at City to be honest, had enough of it already!

It's not that interesting... It's exactly the same situation Russell Slade is in. They'll discuss it at the end of the season, they're both likely to extend the contracts, and if Pulis doesn't he's 100%, or as Simon Cowell would stupidly say - 1000% - not coming to Cardiff...

Nail on head.

Having Pulis is fantasy land as his wages alone would blow our FFP cut backs out of the water. Like it or not Vincent has shown the way ahead by getting a manager who give value for money. What you think of Slade when you compare him on a £ for £ basis on money spent and salary received he is light years ahead of all our recent managers post Lennie Lawrence.

I would love to know what went on with Pulis and James Chester? Cracking signing, never gets a game which is also a detriment to the Welsh Squad.

You can say that again! A club record fee for a defender, and he either never plays him or plays him out of position!

Pulis is a prick!

Can't believe people wanted Pulis as Wales manager. Can you imagine him subjecting his absolutely dreadful style of football on people like Bale, Ramsey, Allen, Jonny Williams and others? It would be hell on earth!

West Brom wankers, they won't be slagging him when he leaves and they get relegated
