Been a season ticket holder with my father in the same seats in the Ninian Stand (Row CC) ever since the stadium opened.
Always been extremely happy with these seats as the view is great and we benefited from being far enough back so that we never got wet.
Ever since the new stand has been built, the rain and wind comes in from the sides. On Saturday we got absolutely drenched and moved into the Canton. With the new season ticket prices. What benefits do we actually get now from paying an extra £70? and it being classed as a "better zone"... It's a bit of a joke.

agree on Saturday every single row in 117 right up to the back row got wet I think the whole of the ninian should be zone 4

I,m all for reducing prices but, I sit in row JJ in front of the wall and looking at the red seats they were wet three quarters of the way up. The point I,m making is that in this area with the rain and wind like it was then you would be hard pressed to be in a dry area.not sure if the new roof could be blamed for that.

Where I am is usually fine. The weather was so bad saturday though that I dont think anywhere would have been that good. the rain was coming from all directions. Short of a full coverage roof I dont think there is much could be done for that.

Warm, dry and toasty in row Z of Block 106 of the Canton - come and join us!
Plenty of empty seats at the moment.

We're in row T in the Ninian block 114, so reasonably central - were like drowned rats soon as.
Don't recall getting that wet that quickly in that stand when we were in block 112 in row S, until the new stand went in and we got sideways rain as well as the usual stuff coming from the Grandstand.
One thing I'm investing in is proper wet weather trousers!!

Never been anything to do with the weather.
For time and memorial ALL stadiums charge more for a side on view of the pitch as opposed to a behind the goal view.

Yes but the Ninian Stand has always been split horizontally, the lower half a cheaper zone to the upper half. I've always assumed that this was for cover from the rain as the lower seats, even with the old roof, got wet and we were dry further up. This is not the case anymore. We pay 23% extra and do not seem to benefit apart from a slightly less pitch level view.

I sit fairly low down in the stand and I get wet as soon as the rain blows east and I accept that. However, on Saturday I moved way back under the 'covered stand' and still got soaked!
Those gaps in the wings of the new Upper Stand have made it a lot less copy for those paying the higher prices at the back!

I've got a real issue with this topic. My seat is in row O 115 and before the new roof went up we hardly ever got wet. In fact Row O is officially classed as dry whereas two rows below us is cheaper.
Since the new stand went up and the roof was raised we regularly get a soaking.
On really excessive wet weather many rows behind us all get wet.
I'm convinced it's the rake on the new roof.
Thanks whole of that stand should in my opinion now be classed in a lower zone for pricing.

I agree the roof should of slanted forward more

Yes, when they had the season ticket launch at Ninian for the first season in the new stadium we were told that the higher priced tickets were because they were "behind the drip line".
I'm also in Row O and since the new stand we are no longer behind that "drip line". It was nothing to do with views or anything else when they were sold.
The new ticket prices are great but they should have a look at this.

Lets face it, you couldn't avoid it Saturday! it was blowing from all angles so even the best roof in the world couldn't have kept that out! I was drenched beyond belief before I got to the ground - the walk from Canton to stadium killed me! So I really wouldn't have noticed if I had extra blowing on me in the stadium given the 200 litres absorbed into my jeans

Is it any dryer in the Grandstand or Family stand? I'm currently in the front seats of the ninian with my son, but looking for a dryer spot next season. A bit concerned about the Canton as my son is only a youngster, so language might be an issue?
