As much as we are be critical of us not fully taking the opportunity to maximise points on the last six fixtures, over that period we have averaged 2 points per match. If we are able to maintain this until the end of the season that would put us on 77 points. With the exception of last season that would leave us between 3rd to 5th place finish.
Saturday was very interesting to actually see us playing 4-2-3-1 for the first time this season and with such a response from the team, I say same again. If you look at the current form table we are 3rd in the league. I do believe that tomorrow's game at Middlesbrough will be the tipping point on whether we get to the playoffs, if Saturday's performance is replicated we should be good for at least a point and should we manage three then we could well be the form team hitting the playoffs at the right time.
We are certainly hitting the sharp end of the season in very good shape ! (who needs strikers)
