quite a few times yesterday Tom Lawrence was on the end of a few bad tackles by brighton players and I think even pilkington squared up to one of there players in the second half the ref didn't give us much protection yesterday just a pity we didn't have a phil Dwyer or a don Murray in there to sort them out .but to be fair to city they kept playing and we got our rewards played the conditions well yesterday the worst I have ever seen at City swirling wind and rain all through game.

Their centre back kicked lumps out of Pilkington. Blatant pull of Manga shirt in the box.
Did anyone notice Zohore push the centre back off him? The centre back didn't want to know

Spot on with the pull on manga should have been a penalty linesman and referee bottled it

Brighton kicked us off the park and the officials gave us no protection again. The lack of consistency when O'Keefe gets booked after 50 seconds, then failing to book the Brighton player when he did a worse slide tackle straight through the back of Pilkington was a disgrace. Lawrence continuously got taken out because he was simply too good for them and it was the only way they could stop him.
Our penalty was never a penalty in my opinion, but it was a definite penalty on Manga and it was good to see the officials finally give us something. The performance of the officials once again was pathetic and they favoured Brighton for the whole game. Fortunately we won, but we are consistently not getting favoured by the officials and this poor standard of officiating has to stop. We will continue to be robbed in future games otherwise.

Have you seen a replay of the penalty incident with Pilkington? I was in the canton and thought it was a definite penalty. About time we got 1 either way

To be fair and balance things out a bit, we could have had a player sent off in the first two minutes.

Saw it live and watched it again in the TV later - sliding tackle from the side not the back, feet were down not up; it was the reaction of the fouled player who fell very awkwardly who made it look worse, O'Keefe literally tripped him not hacked his legs.
There were 2 tackles in the first half I saw where Brighton players fouled one of ours from behind - no yellow card, wondered what happened to the rule where fouls from behind were an auto booking?
Agree Lawrence was targeted - what do you expect mind from a ref who is as short as Keith Stroud

When I seen the okeefe tackle yesterday it happened very quickly, the reaction of the players I thought he had caught him bad. But when I watched it on TV today he slides past him and trips him over more with his body. But don't see how a few of the other tackles on Lawrence and pilkington were not yellow when he had already set the president in the 1st minute

The right back elbowed Whitts and Whitts was livid !!! He even got a sly raking of tossers ankles in......Never seen Whitts so rattled for 10 mins

Pundits say the ref did well yesterday. I say he was inconsistent in the extreme and got both penalty shouts wrong, both the one he gave and the one he didn't. Calderon should have been yellowed twice in the first half. O keefe a but lucky. Yes he missed the player but it was a dangerous tackle and he wasn't in control of his body in making the challenge.

Good comment OKeefe really should have seen Red!
