When Cardiff were stuck under a transfer embargo in January things looked pretty bleak. You knew they needed strengthening, but what kind of quality could they bring in? Here it looked like maybe Slade did get his limited shopping right last month. Lex Immers, two goals in two starts, looked very good, keen to get up and support Pilkington and striking fear into the Brighton defence as he did so. Tom Lawrence too, looked bright and lively pushed out wider. With Wales assistant boss Osian Roberts watching on, it was a timely display from Lawrence and a boost to his Euro hopes in the summer.

Thought that was Lawrence best game for us and Immers was also excellent. We caused them problems while looking solid at the back. Excellent from everyone in extremely tough conditions. Ref was shit once again
