Who is man enough to say they were wrong ?

Sat Feb 20, 2016 2:50 pm

Who is man enough to apologise for all the nasty digs aimed at Russell Slade over the past year and a bit ?

Not me, great result still do not rate him as a manager at all.
The way your talking is like we have just been promoted

At the end of the day Slade is an employee who does what hes told like the rest of us ,told to reduce the wage bill, never had the budget to spend millions like previous managers, so had to gamble on lower league players but gets slaughter week in week out.

I'm man enough to say I was wrong.

Could not see what Pilkington brought to the team until he started playing up front since which he's been absolutely excellent!

As for Slade, I think he has been lucky in that some of his enforced changes have come off for him. If Ameobi had not been suspended I doubt very much that Immers would have got on the pitch today.

Still can't see him getting us in the play-offs let alone promoted - and if by some miracle we did get promoted the first thing we should do is sack him like Watford did to their manager when they got promoted.

That would be the only way we would have a chance of staying up.

Yeovil and Orient are small fish in L1 with budgets at the bottom of the table .

No matter what Slade does some will never accept him . If other recent managers had the budget Slade had they would likely to have achieved no more than Slade has .

With the squad we have we should be top 3 shows how shit Slade is :sladeout:

I don't think anyone needs to say they were wrong based on one result my friend.

Everybody has an opinion, some people think RS is out of his depth some think he deserved a chance.

Personally I think he deserved a chance and I think he has done ok, enough to warrant another season? Absolutely not, lets be honest up until today our results have been poor, whilst unbeaten, we have drawn 3 of the 4 against teams in the bottom 5 of the division which in my opinion is ultimately going to cost us a play off place.

Russel has had a full season and a half now, he has made some shocking signings, some of which have never even been given a chance.

Unless he makes the play offs this season, he has to go, lets not let this win cloud our judgement

Ignore all the sheep noises :old: Give slade :sladein: a new contract. We are making progress and don't want a Sherinham or Bellamy, Shearer appointment to bring in crowds. Some people just won't admit they were wrong   new home records as well

Slade, has proved me totally wrong, but I never abused him and no one deserves abuse if they are trying which has always been doing that.

NO MORE EXCUSES FROM ANYONE NOW, SO GET DOWN THE CITY AND SUPPORT THE MIGHTY BLUEBIRDS :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Well done Slade for getting it right yesterday

Keep doing it and you might get one of these :sladein: :D

Re: Who is man enough to say they were wrong ?

Sun Feb 21, 2016 9:03 am

I won't admit I'm wrong on Slade until he gets us promoted or close to it, what I will admit, is that I now believe Slade is a better manager than originally thought, especially given the agenda he has had to work to, which we as supporters, we're not aware of when he arrived at the club. I would also add, that I would never abuse or boo any City manager

Great result. My feeling that we got lucky with getting ameobi suspended.
Noone being out may also have aided that. The team yesterday
May be picked as a 4 4 2 or 4 4 1 1 but the players in it are so flexible.

Hope Russell doesn't revert to using ameobi and keeps a winning team.

Getting rid of KJ and Revell and all the others has been his best work here.
