surely this will suit the players

Surely this will suit the players that russell slade picks and entrusts for the game against brighton
with brighton alledgedly coming to win
there can be no exscuses of we did our best but just could not find away past thier 10 man defence etc
Aslong as those players selected from our (quality squad ) play to thier ability and don't make silly mistakes we are capable of beating brighton
so they have no exscuses not to do the business today
no one else to blame if the players selected dont take this opportunity to put us right in the play off mix it will down to themselves

So before a ball has been kicked, you are pretty much saying we should win this game against a team who have performed better than us all season and are higher in the league? And if we don't win it, the players have missed a great opportunity to get into the play offs mix?

What?

Today is a tough game, and who knows how it will go. We can win it, for sure, but it's silly statements like the one above that just raise expectations higher than they should be every week. This one is almost as bad as those who always predict 3-0 or 4-0 wins against teams low in the league, even though there has been zero precedent under Slade's reign for such a score prediction.

If we beat Brighton, that will be great, and I strongly believe we can. But let's not kid ourselves as to the quality of our opposition today, and if we DO lose, it's hardly a case of just the players having to blame themselves - this is a tough game.

Sorry kwest
you obviously missed the irony of my post
someone else posted a thread with same comments substituting the players for slade , had it stickied and it had huge numbers looking and commenting on it
I merely put this up to level the debate should we not of won , as slade takes too much criticism
oh and I did believe we could winbut it needed the performance that our players came up with

Yeah, I pay little attention to the politics that go on here - the result today did make me look like a knob though haha
