MOURINHO: I'M IN DEMAND

19/02/16

Jose Mourinho has claimed he is not looking for a new job at the moment, but, instead, says clubs are pursuing him.

The 53-year-old’s second spell at Chelsea came to an end in December following his sacking after a poor start to the campaign.

He has since been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United, who are currently managed by Louis van Gaal.

"My next club? I really do not know, but one thing is certain - I love football and I will return with the same passion and ambition I've always had," Mourinho told La Stampa.

"Right now I have respect for every coach at every club. I'm not looking for a club, but there are clubs that are looking for me."

Guardiola is the best manager in the world, and I think he'll prove that in the Premier League next season.

But Mourinho, as difficult as he is, has to be a close second for me.

Will be shocked if he doesn't end up at United. If they want him, he'll go there. The job he's always wanted.

I think Jose will have the early advantage of 'knowing' the PL ;)

Guardiola is about to manage in an actual tough league - I would go assuming he's going to be a success just yet. He might well be, but I don't think it's going to be the cake walk many think it will. Plus, he's once again picked a super rich club to go to, knowing damn well it's a better way of protecting his legacy. Go to an Everton or a Spurs, Pep, and show just how good you actually are.

Mourinho is nothing but a short term fix, should United go for him, and they'll be looking for a manager again in 2-3 years. 3 managers in the 6 years post Sir Alex would prove that yet again that club have had a nightmare replacing one of their hugely successful managers.

I think the common observation most foreign managers make coming into the PL is that there are no easy games and the pressure is relentless.

Listening to Don Hutchinson on Talk Sport last night and he seems (don't know how reliable) that a name is being spouted around America for the next manure manager and that the Manure scum will be happy with their new manager... Having a few quid on a certain German who used to manager team USA!!! :bluescarf:
