That's a good debate on its own Messi or Ronaldo? Personally I would pick Messi love watching twinkle toes. He's class. Ronaldo is a bit of moody player in my eyes, if not going well cries like a baby.

How on Earth does Ronaldo contribute more to the team? Let me guess: 1. He can jump higher? 2. He's stronger? 3. He's better on his weak foot? 4. He scores more long shots?

1. Of course he's better in the air, there's no disputing that, but that rarely comes in to ply in a game, especially the way Madrid play. He scores a header 1 in 4 games (estimate). I'd much rather have Messi's best ability (dribbling) which comes in to play every time he touches the ball.

2. Ronaldo may be stronger, but I don't think Messi would even want to be stronger. His play style requires on him being nimble. It would be a lot harder for him to do that if he put a lot of muscle on.

3. He may score better goals on his weak foot, but Messi actually scores more. Fact.

4. Same case for the weak foot.

Overall, Ronaldo may have more physical attributes, but what Messi is best at, he excels in and Ronaldo doesn't compare. They come in to play a lot more than Ronaldo's. He's the most creative player in the world, and the best dribbler. There's no arguing that. They are far more important than jumping high.
