RYAN GIGGS COULD WALK AWAY

Wednesday 17th Feb 2016

Ryan Giggs is reluctant to be Manchester United's caretaker boss again should Louis van Gaal leave, according to the Mirror.

The Dutchman is fighting to save his job but Giggs is reportedly reluctant to take any role that's not the permanent managerial position, with Jose Mourinho favourite to get the job.

I don't see anything in him to suggest he will be a good manager.

Why?

Not arguing with you but I wonder why you think he would do a better job than Bellamy?

I agree he would be better than Bellamy.

First off, hes got experience albeit in a caretaker role but experience nonetheless, also been a number 2 for the past 2 seasons and would have learned from one of the best in the business in SAF.

He also commamns respect, would likely have better contacts and would be a bigger pull than Bellamy in attracting players.

All in all, for me, theres no contest.

Does anyone not realise that Giggs will be 'shown the door' regardless once (if the smart money is right) Jose Mourinho walks into the Old Trafford Hot Seat? :?

Prepping his inevitable departure already, methinks! ;)

Never sure (outside of the red half of Manchester) why people get so hung up on Giggs? A great player for ManUre, great to watch on his day and deserves his place in their history. But, he achieved nothing (in reality) for Wales and never came to play for his so-called 'hometown' club!

ManUre through and through and how it should be after his illustrious career, but he means nothing to us at Cardiff City FC and surely cannot be a serious candidate should our job become available?

Achieved more, better temprament, learnt under the very very best. Would have great contacts from within the Man U ex brethren.

Serious question: Given how many ManUre ex-players have actually 'made it' in management, could he (Giggs) be able to cope with little or no money to spend on 'class' players? :?

His 'hopo' OGS couldn't make the step with many £millions at his disposal and they were from the same stable! ;)

Not many from there have made the grade, have they? Steve Bruce is an obvious exception, of course!

Bryan Robson???? :? :o

Had to get Sir Terry Venables to bail him out! Was lucky he had a great Chairman in Steve Gibson at Boro! ;)

I'll accept Mark Hughes but not so much Strachan, although he is doing a decent job for the Scots!

When you consider how many players have come out of the University of Ferguson, then I think the return in 'decent' managers has been poor!

Agree and also forgot to mention Roy Keane but I think he is more on the failing side aswell.

I just reckon Giggs would do better than Bellamy.

HOWEVER, I wouldn't have either of them. Too early in their managerial careers.

A fair point, but (personally) I'd give Craig a go. I just think he has 'something' about him that will make him succeed at Cardiff City FC over the Manchurian legend :ayatollah:

what??? what have you seen to suggest that he wont be? he is being groomed in the correct manner and has the attributes to make it. Name me one, only one, person currently who has not ever managed that you think is better prepared to take up their first managers job? :bluebird:
