I am sure tan won't lose any sleep but what more does tan have to do
Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:59 pm
If true, I have 0 respect for Annis
This may be his board but when a man pays you the respect, you offer it back especially since he's done no harm personally to Annis as far as I'm aware.
The man is trying is best to do what he can to untie his mistakes when he took over the club.
Sun Feb 14, 2016 1:00 pm
Mind you, in saying that
I'm sure Annis couldn't care less of my opinion of him
Sun Feb 14, 2016 2:18 pm
It seems a lot of people on this board are looking at the situation through rose-tinted glasses.
Sun Feb 14, 2016 2:41 pm
Culturally that'll be a huge sign of disrespect for Tan.
Honour is high with Tan .
He has kept his word so now is the time to support him as he's not going anywhere soon
Sun Feb 14, 2016 3:00 pm
Each to their own.
Sun Feb 14, 2016 3:07 pm
There is no greater disrespect than coming into a club you've supported for 4 decades and changing your badge and colours and rubbishing them.
That will never be forgotten.
Clearing the debt is a big way of building bridges.

I put out on another thread what annis said to me at half time
I also said annis is always winding me up
And I never know when he's joking
So don't take it as fact that he refused to shake hands with tan
Annis flew to Spain after the Charlton game with his familly ,so let's wait and see what he has to say ,before judging him
Sun Feb 14, 2016 3:32 pm
Why should Annis shake Tans hand. Tan has said he is going to convert debt to equity. He has until March 2nd to do so. Tan has made many promises about reducing and clearing debts and has failed to deliver. Let's not forget that the majority of debt has been created by Tans mismanagement plus the rebrand which ripped the heart and soul out if the club.
Had I seen tan yesterday I would not have shaken his hand either. Once he has cleared debt and appointed a decent manager I would have more time for the man.

I respect everything tan is now trying to do and putting right whats wrong, I wouldnt shake his hand just yet. Am 100% behind moving on am over the moon with recent events and more his statement of making mistakes and being honest. The memories of the change of colour and the jokes about the name change are still to recent, they are a fading memory but not faded just yet.
Am sure Annis has his own reasond but big deal, hand shake or no hand shake.
Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:22 pm
Sorry guys but this thread heading is
So annis refused to shake tans hand
It looks to me like some one has taken my comment from another thread as fact
Even though I said ,annis is always winding me up and I never know when he's kidding me or telling the truth
Wether he did or did not is imoterial, and nothing to get worked up about
All opinions are just that opinions ,rightly or wrongly

I would say Annis has priciples and is not like a lot of people on here who change their mind every week. If we win a game we are suddenly on our way to the play offs, lose and it's "Slade Out". Thousands demonstrate about red, Tan is the evil emperor, now he is suddenly the best thing since sliced bread. He has'nt actually done anything yet other than make a statement. I hope he sticks to his word, and in all honesty I think he will. However, his plans run over the next 5 years, and a lot can happen during that time. One thing is for certain, we are going to have to accept that there will be little if any money available during that time. With nearly every Championship club running at a loss, we are not likely to be much different. Tan is not going to want to see any notable increase in debts while he is trying to clear our existing one. Running a football club in this division while not losing money is almost impossible, so good luck to him on that one.

If left to some we would still be at war with the Germans.

Last time I looked we now play in blue and our badge is somewhat better than previous years, apart from the dragon thing.
Tan has learnt from his errors and has gone a very long way to make amends, give the guy a break.
Has anyone on here never made a mistake?

Lots of old friends have fallen out over one mans actions, albeit he admits his wrongs but it doesn't heal the damage done there does it? Many stopped going, maybe a lot of Annis' oldest mates? I don't know but I don't blame him for not shaking his hand one bit.n

Bang on with this mate
Sun Feb 14, 2016 8:08 pm
So he refuses to shake the hand of a man who is trying to rectify his previous mistakes, who is starting to do right by the fans, a man who subdued his pride for the fans yet still pays his money to the club owned by this man?
f**k off with the sanctimonious bullshit. Annis is fickle with players and managers and is quick enough to critiscise and change his opinion to suit.

They couldn't have been very good friends in the first place to fall out over it

Sorry but who cares? It's Annis's choice.
Based on what he believes he didn't shake Tans Hand.
Tan made his bed and it upset a lot of folk.
At the time Tan didn't care but has since seen the error of his ways and is now building bridges with them folk.
Maybe one day they will shake hands and maybe not.
But it's silly if you decide to form an opinion on someone based on an influence of their opinion of someone else.
To each their own.

This a thousand times over. I was against the rebrand but this line about friends falling out is beyond, it's wet as f**k. I am very close friends with fans of clubs ranging from Manchester United to Sheffield United, if I stopped speaking to everyone over disagreements about football I wouldn't have any friends left
Sun Feb 14, 2016 11:18 pm
It takes courage to admit a mistake and then go ahead and rectify it. To me that's being a man.
It also takes courage to forgive and move on. City fans have got to pull together and get behind the team and the club. What is the point in holding a grievance, it's just self destructive.
Time to put the past where it belongs and go forwards United.

Annis's choice. Stood by his principles. Instead of bending over at the promise (yet again) of clearing the massive debt - some inherited (and taken ownership of) and the rest created by Tan and his cronies.
Well done Annis.
I may have missed it but has Tan ever apologised for trying to destroy our history, walk all over our tradition and ripping the heart and soul out of the club? When he does that (if he hasn't) then perhaps we could start to move on.
