Is there a better combination in this division at the moment. Connolly had an early wobble when he tripped on a Charlton cross, but he bossed the game from there on in.

There was a brilliant moment in the first half when Reza shimmied this way and that to try and deceive him. Connolly simply stood his ground and swept the ball away.

Manga, meanwhile, was magnificent in the air against the giant Simon Makienok.

Shame we haven't got a front two to complete the front end of the puzzle.

They are my favourite pairing for City, I like they are decent on the ball with Manga extremely comfortable with the ball.
