Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will be offered a weekly salary of £500,000 a week to move to the Chinese league, according to the Daily Mirror.
Rooney’s former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, who is now in charge at Shanghai SIPG, has poured further fuel onto that fire by saying he thinks his former England captain will end up joining the football revolution in China.
He told Swedish newspaper Expressen: “Sooner or later, we are going to see names like Ronaldo, Messi and Rooney in this league — players on this level.”

Absolutely disgusting if true. How will it help develop Chinese players? Spending shit loads of money has done f**k all for the English league, hence why Leicester are top and English teams are shite in europe.
