Fans Still Wont Come Back Now!

Debt to equity is fantastic news but heres a realistic opinion on the issue about getting fans back...

Debt to equity wont bring fans back imo.
Keeping slade as manager wont bring fans back no way.

The only way fans will return and crowds will return will be if slade is sacked and a better manager is hired, a manager who will bring better football which the fans will back and support, someone the fans will be happy to come and back and support and ill tell you one thing slade is not that man so slade getting sacked is more important than anything to get the fans back and get success on the pitch.

Play well and win, v happy. Play shit and win , happy. Anything else and "fans" aren't happy. If the team played as well as the "fans" moaned, we'd be champions league. :bluescarf:

What we currently have going to watch Cardiff at present is the 12k or so core supporters who will go and support their team no matter what style of football they are playing come rain, snow or shine.

Over the last 12 years or so since we got promoted to the Championship, the club has picked up thousands of new supporters, which is great and no different to most other clubs, but now the playing style isn't attractive enough plus off field events (not including yesterdays excellent news) these new fans aren't fussed about going anymore. Also finances have a massive impact on why some aren't going.

I'm not a fan of Slade's style but I've seen worse watching City over my 40 years and will probably see worse again, but I'll be there supporting the team I love no matter who's manager and what ever league we are in.

That's all that will work imo to.

Years ago it didn't matter as long as the team give 100% you would be there next week no matter what. it was about the day out the buzz with your mates.

Now if we draw people boo the team and would rather stay at home as it might rain for two minutes before the game or go shopping with the wife. although the same people would be there vs chelsea

Promotion and winning will bring the plastics back and we all know it, lose weekly and get relegated and they leave. proven fact :bluescarf:

We need to do all that we can to encourage the young generation.

My 11 year old son is one of two junior season ticket holders in his year. The rest of the kids say they support the PL teams. More kids in my son's class say they support the Jacks because of their PL status. Its just sad really.

Proud of my boy. He's been to every home game over the last two seasons and to a lot away with me. He's also going to Charlton tomorrow and he's excited about it. He recently stood up in front of his class and talked about why he supports the Bloobirds and follows them round the country.

We need to get our younger generation into the stadium, even free tickets etc. Problem is parents aren't taking their kids so they don't understand what its like to be passionate about the local team. Some kids at his school are now changing from Chelsea to Leicester as the foxes might win the Premier League. We've got to take action to avoid losing the next generation of fans.

Slade wont bring consistently winning games though and even if he did here is another theory i think would happen...

These figures are just a rough guide and example...

Cardiff 2nd in the championship, consistently winning games with bellamy or another big name manager in charge = 24,000 average attendance.

The same scenario but this time with slade in charge = 19,000 average attendances.
