Fans are not going because of these reasons- alot have now seen us in the Premiership so not really seeing the point in watching at a lower level now we have played there, we've been relegated , tickets expensive on walkup, and football is poor to watch (Slades tactics)

Some probably will but that's silly.

The fact is that the only way the crowds will come back is if we are challenging right at the top end of the table, not floundering around in mid table with the current inconsistency being shown by the team.

Success breeds interest and "support" from greater numbers. Having recently been in the Premier League playing the "big" clubs every week, being mid table in the Championship no longer appeals to many floating supporters I'm afraid.

Slade is part of the problem too but that's not really his fault. He's done what Tan has asked and is doing the best job he can in the circumstances but who honestly believes that Slade can get the team promoted?

If Tan were to loosen the purse strings as far as the playing squad is concerned would you really want to be giving Russ a pot of money to buy players?

We are (mostly) on here the die hards who'll always be there if we can. The floating supporters don't care if we're red or blue, Tan or Hammam, Slade or Mourinho, they will only come if they see the team being successful on the pitch.

I find it hard to believe more than a handfull of people stopped going because of Tan, he doesn't even go to games, its a weak excuse.

Not going because of Slade is also a weak excuse.

More like we had inflated crowds last few years because:

FA Cup final
League cup final
Play off final
Golden ticket offer
Premier League

As someone else posted in another thread most comparable season (ie one without a massive reason for getting a season ticket) was 2005/06 when we finished 12th and had lower avg attendance
