Wonder what the Sam fans will have to say about this, you know the owner that was meant to have the club close to his heart?

Under FFP owners can 'gift' monies as we have just seen or inject further capital by issuing more shares (£3m I think it is). So yes we will probably continue to lose money but VT can write it off.

Mind you his plan will probably be to get us promoted.

Credit where it's due. This is the best news the club has had for a long time.

Still have a parachute payment to come (it runs out after 3 years I believe). Live within our means now - and bring in Bellamy as manager.

Just my opinion but I think he will make sure we stay within our means from now on
Can't fault this
And he's here for the long term obviously

and as someone else mentioned, still have 2 seasons of parachute payments, and the wage bill is dropping quite a lot with every transfer window :ayatollah:

Christ mate, we all want what's best for the club, there's no need to be so smarmy about it.

I couldn't care less about Sam Hammam personally. However, the news about the debt reduction is tremendous, but it doesn't instantly eradicate the damage his foolish actions over the last four years have caused to the fan base of the club. If he contuinues in this vein i can forgive him but it won't be forgotten. More of the same please Tan.

But he didn`t make anything from us being in the Premier League. On what basis do you think he did?

So what happened to all the Premeir League money?
When he took over we owed £30M (allegedly) and it recently rose to £180M (allegedly).
If the club owed £180m and received £100m - £120m (totalling upto £300m) then how did that happen?
How did he allow it to spiral out of control?
