DESPERATE MEASURES ON CITY PITCH.

If there is continual heavy rain during the game there is talk the match may be called off, the new pitch can't take the water cause the water is not passing through to the drainage system, it's holding on top.

Thankfully we had No rain for at least an hour before kick off.

Crowd 13,833
But actually in attendance approx 10,000

Because the pitch was laid on top of the old pitch makes it hard to drain. It's like a sponge

We should never ever allow Wales to play games at the CCS in the summer again, if it's going to affect the pitch quality. All these headaches, due to one damn match?

Why do you always take a picture of what has always been the emptiest part of the ground?

I didn't know that the game was in doubt until I reached the ground, and heard people talking about it in the supporters' club shop. All things considered, it wasn't a bad game. If only we could take our chances! Credit to the ground staff.

Nothing to do with Wales playing on it. The Jacks pitch holds well and they play rugby on it. I don't know why it got in a state but I do wonder if cutbacks by Tan is responsible ? There has to be some reason.

Nothing to do with cutbacks, the pitch gets relaid every Summer, but last Summer the club were unable to re-lay it, because of a Wales fixture!
