Sky Sports News HQ understand that Jamie Vardy is close to agreeing a new three and a half year contract with Leicester City which could see him double his existing wages.
With maximum bonuses from appearances, goals, England caps and any potential European qualification, we understand the Sheffield-born striker could earn as much as £80k a week.
There has been no official comment from Leicester, however we understand both parties hope the deal can be finalised and signed by the end of the week.

He's bloody earned it so far this season. If he carries on then there's no reason he doesn't deserve such a raise.

What a rise in fame, was playing non league football a few years back and now talks of 80 grand a week. Nice 1 fella.

there is trouble coming with the england team as there is no way rooney will be dropped, cant fit vardy and kane in the side as well
