Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:43 pm

Does anybody know exactly what Langston do?

I.e what type of company are they? I have always wondered but never been able to find an answer. Not even Google seems to come up with anything.

proper mysterious loan.

If you believe some on here
They leant us £24 million many years ago
And only wanted £24 million back
That's no interest no charges no fees shall I continue

Don't know about you but I wouldn't mind a loan from them on those terms

The mad thing is.
Langston hammam loaned 24 million to Cardiff hammam (for Cardiff hammam to spend wisely and very unwisely and make rash decisions or get caught out). Cardiff lose out but hammam gets all his money back!!!!

Fuk me - that's some kinda conscience ehh

They were classed as an hedge fund company at the time? (Whatever that is) presumably to speculate on an investment like city and make a killing for share holders! (Which they did) :o

Are right in thinking that Sam still has shares in the club and has been paid for some of his shares in the past ?

Pembroke Allan I agree that's what hedge funds do
But again I say it's said on here they loaned us £24 million
And again allegedly only having £24 million back after many years
Am I missing something here
How have they made money
I'm not supporting Sam/ Langston here
I'm just sceptical if we actually had £24 million
Or has a smaller loan grown to £24 million ?hmmmm

The loan was £24m paid in 2 tranches in October 2004. Follow this link to the Court Judgement in 2008 and paragraph 10 clearly states what the original loan was. http://www.oeclaw.co.uk/images/uploads/ ... FCjmnt.pdf

The idea was to receive £30m back in 2011 plus interest at 7% APR in the intervening years. Due to various circumstances (mainly his own cock ups) both the £6m and 7% were written off. Finally Langston have received the bulk of their money back but it has been tied up for 12 years earning no interest whatsoever.

no idea really but must question the original ammount? i suspect its to do with sam getting his hands on the retail park which is worth something in region of 4m per annum in rent which now i believe goes to mgs who lent us the 9m they got it as part of the loan deal! council scuppered sam so guess they now only got original investment back instead of nice cash cow in retail park rent?
