I couldn't stand Ridsdale and when I see all the bickering about Sam and Tan I wonder why someone who really ripped our club off gets way scot free.

That said the best thing he did was the 5 year price freeze, although it was never about rewarding the fans but more about rewarding himself.

Truth is Tony not everything SH, Ridsdale or VT done was bad but sadly we ALL tend to remember the bad things.

Confirmation of a further substantial write off and conversion of debt into shares by Vincent Tan.

Good news , which should be acclaimed by all City fans whether they are supporters of Vincent Tan and his previous treatment of the club or not.

The filing deadline for accounts of a private limited company is 9 months after the year end so , in CCFC`s case , by the end of this month. I expect to see them published before the final date for filing.

My honest (and some may say overly blunt) opinion is that neither side to the argument came out of the settlement covered in glory. It has been a long episode like two little boys arguing in the school playground about who has got (rather than who is) the biggest dick.

The end result is that Sam Hammam has got a substantial payment against a debt that was rightly due to him/Langston but that the payment was less than he was claiming and he has incurred a big legal bill which he will not recover in reaching that settlement. On the other side , Vincent Tan has also run up big legal fees and ended up paying what appears to be most of the debt amount that appeared in the club`s books when this could have been done several months ago. All this nonsense about the non-disclosure of who Langston really is has been a waste of time and money just to try and appease the huge egos of two parties who have allowed those egos to override business common sense.

The only people who appear to have benefited from this are the lawyers by way of substantial fees. I don`t blame them for this - if someone instructs me to spend loads of my time using my professional knowledge (to the extent anyone thinks I have any !) no matter how strong or weak a case I think they have , then I am happy to do so provided I give them best advice at all times. If they wish to ignore that advice and carry on regardless , that is their choice.

Could it be that the club is finally going ahead with my suggestion of hanging Roathy up like a pinata in the CCS car park before home games so that fans can hit with iron bars until all the shit comes out? That would bring the crowds back.
