No matter how well he plays some people will still use him as a scapegoat - I personally think he still has a lot to offer City

Cardiff are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Peter Whittingham in the 3-2 victory over Huddersfield Town at the weekend at the John Smith's Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Whittingham was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Whittingham netted two goals for Cardiff as they came out on top in a five-goal thriller with Huddersfield Town. The left winger neatly tucked the Bluebirds in front, and fired home a trademark free-kick in the second half which proved decisive in West Yorkshire.'

It's always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Whittingham for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Barry Richardson (Wycombe Wanderers), Scott Golbourne (Bristol City), Will Aimson (Blackpool), Haydn Hollis (Notts County), Kevin Long (Barnsley), Peter Whittingham (Cardiff), Johan Berg Gudmundsson (Charlton), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Will Grigg (Wigan Athletic), Ben Williamson (Cambridge), Jack Compton (Yeovil).

Manager - Keith Hill (Rochdale).

Played in his natural position, Whitts can steer City to greater heights for some time to come! :ayatollah:
