Very ambitious from them.

Not really the kid knows where the net is. Goalscorers come at a price.

Pulis wins then.
He wanted to sell him a few years back but the WBA chairmen refused as he saw him as part of the future of the club.

Newcastle are desperate to say up.

I think that's money well spent. He got great pace and will score plenty of goals.
Newcastle have done what they needed to in this window to stay up. Will be shocked if they go down. Townsend, Shelvey and Berahino will make a huge difference.

Shows a complete u-turn in transfer policy though. Going from young cheap french players to expensive England internationals.

Big respect to their manager, he's clearly kicked up a fuss about the transfer policy, given they never budged on it under Pardew. Guess it helps to be a member of the board too!

If this goes ahead - Newcastle would have spent around £50M on 3 players - IN THE LAST MONTH

Supposedly, they knew everyone they wanted to sign by the end of the Summer 2016 window, so maybe just bringing some of them in earlier than planned?
Ashley is a tight b*stard, can't imagine he's allowing them to just panic buy?

I don't rate him and I think he's a bit of prick. If the Geordies go down he will end up in the Championship and I doubt Newcastle will get more than 12 million for him so will more than likely try and hold on to him.
